Student Clubs
Clubs at Raleigh Charter vary a great deal in terms of the time commitment for the students, allowing most students to find some activity that fits their schedule. Club meetings are held before school, during lunch, or after school. Clubs may vary slightly from year to year to suit the interests of our students and faculty. Each fall, there is a club fair on the third Friday of the school year to inform students about club offerings and opportunities.
Please note: Ninth grade students may not form new clubs or lead existing clubs during their first year at RCHS.
Renewing an existing club
Clubs that existed during the 2025-2026 school year should fill out a digital club renewal form. Only advisors may submit this form. Students may use this document as a template to draft responses to share with their advisors. The 2026 Club RENEWAL Request Google form must be submitted by a club’s advisor by 11:59 pm on Friday, August 21 for clubs to participate in the Third Friday Club Fair.
Club renewals are not automatic. Committee members will consider a number of factors, including the quality of responses to form questions, comments from the teacher about how the club went last year, and how the club will fit into the larger picture of clubs at RCHS. The faculty advisor and student leader(s) will receive an email from a member of the Clubs and Community Committee with the decision of your club renewal by Wednesday, August 26.
Starting a new club
Clubs that did not exist or were not active at all during the 2025-2026 school year should submit a digital new club proposal form. This is true even if you are reviving a club that existed prior to the 2025-2026 school year. Only advisors may submit this form. Students may use this document as a template to draft responses to share with their advisors.
New clubs may form at any point during the school year, but in order to participate in the Third Friday Club Fair on Friday, August 28, the 2026 NEW Club Proposal Google form must be submitted by a club’s advisor by 11:59 pm on Friday, August 21.
Other Forms:
Club Event Form — complete this form at least TWO WEEKS before hosting an event. An event is any club activity happening outside of a normal meeting and/or an activity that the club wishes to promote through official school communications.
