​We will convert the mini ex days scheduled for this Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30 into regular-schedule days. School will be held from 9:00 am until 2:40 pm on both of these days, and seventh-period health class will meet both days at the regular time.

Please be aware that Raleigh Charter makes decisions about closings and schedule changes independently of other schools and systems. Conditions may vary throughout our attendance area, and safety should be everyone’s first priority. Even when Raleigh Charter is open, please always make the best decision about attendance for students based on the conditions near your home. Students will not be penalized for being absent because of safety concerns. If your student is going to miss school for any reason (including weather concerns), please be sure to email absences@raleighcharterhs.org.

Ashley Anderson
Director of Special Programs
Ashley Anderson is a Raleigh area native. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from UNC Wilmington and her master’s degree from Hunter College. Ashley has been teaching for over ten years across North Carolina, California, and New York. Outside of school, Ashley is usually chasing after her two young kids, spending time cooking with her husband, or finding a quiet moment to read a good book.

Cara Leigh Morris
Special Programs Teacher
Cara Leigh Morris is a Raleigh native and Raleigh Charter alum. After graduating from Duke University with a BA in Public Policy, she completed Teach for America. Having taught in a variety of settings, Cara Leigh is excited to return to Raleigh Charter as a teacher!
