Staff and Administration Positions

College Counselor (full-time):
Raleigh Charter High School is currently accepting applications for a full-time College Counselor for the 2021-2022 school year. College counselors work as part of a two-person team to guide students and parents/guardians through the college application process. Our counselors develop and direct an overall program that includes planning events for students and parents, communicating with all constituents, meeting with students to review their progress, writing letters of recommendation, and working with the faculty and administration to support students over their four years of high school. A significant part of work as a College Counselor involves building relationships with the various members of the school community and with college and university admissions staff.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in school counseling, college counseling, or in college admissions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in using technology to manage documents and data

Director of Student Support (full-time):
Raleigh Charter High School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Director of Student Support for the 2021-2022 school year. The position includes directing and managing an overall program to help students grow socially and emotionally as well as academically. The Director of Student Support counsels students, develops 504 Plans, monitors student progress, and collaborates with teachers, staff, administrators, and parents to help all students grow and thrive. The core of the position involves building long-term relationships with students, faculty, and families and working as part of the administrative team.

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in school counseling, teaching, and/or social work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in using technology to manage documents and data
