Please allow ample time to find parking and be in place on time.

The ceremony is expected to be over by 7 p.m. and there will be a reception (punch and cookies) for graduates and their guests in the lobby.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT AP U.S. HISTORY SUMMER READING
All students signed up for APUSH next year need to buy their texts from the RCHS office next week, beginning Tuesday, June 2. Students will get three books—a text plus two document readers. These books will be the texts for next year AND they will be used for the summer reading assignment.

The total cost for the three books is $52, and the check should be made out to RCHS. Students are buying the book from the school because that was the best way for us to get the lowest price for families.

Thank you.

ONE MORE PHOENIX NEWS THIS YEAR
The final Phoenix News of the school year will be published next Friday, June 5. Please submit articles by noon on Tuesday, June 2, for inclusion in the issue. Thank you.

CARPOOL TIME AGAIN
If you are in need of carpool next year, it is time to enter your address information into the carpool database. Returning students will need to reenter the information if they need a carpool again next year.

Signing up is easy from the Raleigh Charter website. Go to:
https://www.raleighcharterhs.org/studentlife/transportation.asp

At the bottom of the page you will find a link to "Submit your information to the carpool database."

Please enter the information before July 1 as I will be organizing the groups in July. You will be emailed a list of people with whom you may organize a carpool. Questions can be emailed to me.

PASTA POT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS
As the end of the school year draws to an end, we would like to thank each family who donated to the PASTA Pot. Initially, the amount needed to meet the PASTA budget for this year was $55,700. However, in December, Dr. Humble conveyed the need to raise an extra $20,645 to offset the decrease in state funding, bringing the new PASTA Pot goal to $76,345.

The response to this need has been overwhelming. RCHS parents have responded very generously by contributing a total of $80,873 to the PASTA Pot this academic year. Our participation rate was slightly over 61%.

Recently an additional state reduction in funding of $14,591 and teacher salary reductions of $12,346 for RCHS have been announced by the state. PASTA officers are working with Dr. Humble to determine how PASTA Pot overage can most effectively be used to address these reductions.

Again, we truly thank you for your support and feel fortunate to have such wonderfully generous parents at Raleigh Charter.
