Giving to Raleigh Charter High School
Since its founding, Raleigh Charter High School has received strong financial and volunteer support from its families. The generosity of parents and other individuals has enabled the school to offer a strong academic program in a unique atmosphere. The school continues to rely on our "community" to support faculty salaries and innovative programs since public funds received only cover basic education costs. To bridge the gap, the PASTA Pot has provided additional operational support. Now, Raleigh Charter's Development Office coordinates annual and long-term fundraising for the school and is reaching out to current families, alumni, alumni families, and the broader Raleigh community. We encourage you to participate at a level that is meaningful to you.
The Phoenix Fund
Our 2009-2010 Phoenix Fund goal is participation by 100% of RCHS families. 100% participation will be important when we ask outside organizations for support in the future. Please remember that when we talk about 100% participation, $5.00 counts as much as $50 and $500. All gifts will be greatly appreciated. If you are able, please consider a gift that is a stretch and, to maximize your contribution, see if your employer has a matching gift program.
If you are a state or federal employee, you can donate to RCHS through the State Employees Combined Campaign or the Combined Federal Campaign. In both situations you can participate in the fundraising efforts of your employer AND help Raleigh Charter High School.
There is not an expected gift amount. However, spreading a donation out to monthly or quarterly payments may enable a family to consider a larger total contribution. If everyone participates, 100% of all RCHS families, we can reach or surpass the amount needed in this year's school budget. Because state contributions to our school have decreased this year by 9%, Phoenix Fund contributions are all the more important. To donate, attach your check to a completed donation form and deliver these two items to the school office. Everything you need to know is on the form. Students can be your courier, or you may use the US Mail.

We look forward to a spirited response to the 2009-2010 Phoenix Fund drive, and we will keep you informed on our search for a permanent home.
