Journal #1: Folktales such as “The Fisherman and the Jinnee” and the “Brave Little Tailor” were passed down orally for generations before being written down.  Consider the reasons people tell stories (see your notes) and explain why you think these two particular stories were told.   Also consider why the characters within the stories tell stories.  Give specific examples and details to support your points.
